Our First Give-Away!

Does this look familiar? Perhaps you have seen it a number of times on here, my Etsy shop, and even several times on eBay! Mom and I have decided that she finally needs a home.

In an effort to pull all of you lurkers out of hiding, we thought it would be fun to have a give-away! All you have to do is leave a comment and share your favorite Spring cleaning tip! That's it, and your name will be added to the hat. If you can't think of one, just leave a comment, and we will place your name in the hat anyway. :)

Mom and I thought we would leave the drawing open until next Thursday, May 24 at 8:00pm. Then, we will draw to see who wins this little strawberry pin cushion. Have fun!~Alli

Take your wool braided rug (if it is a large one) outdoors and hang it over a ladder suspended between two high points. . . Take an air compressor air blower and blow your rug out with that. The cloud of dust will amaze you :)

Then leave it for the sun to cleanse .

Hi Alli ~ Yes, put my name in the hat for winning your creative giveaway! How special!

I'm going to try and come up with a tip, but I'm blank right now... just wanted to get my name in before I forgot. :)

Wash walls from the bottom up, to avoid streaking.

To remove pencil marks & other non-greasy spots from non-washable papers, use an art-gum eraser .

Dust your figurines with a paint brush. Works great. Also good on a computer keyboard. Throw my name in the hat. I will need a new pincushion when I retire..

When cleaning out closets, have 3 bags with you. One marked Throw Away, one marked, Give Away, and one marked Put Away. Throw away goes in the trash, give away goes to a goodwill/thrift store, and put away belongs somewhere else in the house. Apply the "one year" rule. If you haven't worn/used it in one year, get rid of it.

Thanks for a chance to win your adorable pin cushion!!! If I win I'll be giving it to my 5 year old daughter for her birthday. She's learning to sew. =0)

Nice. I evidently DO have your blog site in my favorites. I had forgotten.

For cleaning all year round, stock up on baking soda and vinegar. One or the other will do most anything.

Together they clean out drains.

I want to enter...but I can't come up with a good tip. Hmm...okay, how about this very simple one: always dust before you vacuum so the dirt and dust won't go on a clean carpet. :) Everyone probably already does that though...

I can't think of a cleaning tip...as a matter of fact, Uncle Tony asked if we even did Spring Cleaning, I'm going to say he thinks our house is soooo clean that we don't need to devote one time a year for such a task...ha ha...Sorry for a tipless comment but Sush wants that pin-cushion.
love,
