"Blest be that spot where cheerful guests retire To pause from toil, and trim their evening fire; Blest that abode, where want and pain repair, and every stranger finds a ready chair: Blest be those feasts with simple plenty crown'd, Where all the ruddy family around" ~Oliver Goldsmith

Love the pillowcases.....I know I don't even need to mention how excited I am for this Christmas...I'm sensing a great Stocking for Aunt...
love you

What a special gift that, I'm sure, took a lot of time! I like the purple and green colors and design of the flowers. I have only tried embroidery once for a friendship quilt, and found it's definitely a skill that needs practice!
Wow, those look beautiful Alli! You did a great job! :)
Dear Julie,
What a delight to find your blog this morning! I hopped on over from Karla's blog. I enjoyed reading about your family. You are encouraging and inspiring! I will be visiting often. God bless!
Beautiful job on the pillow cases.
Aunt- I'm going to get started right away! I just need some pillowcases to work on. :)
Hannah- Embroidery is hard to get the hang of...it's so detailed! I also find myself often struggling to thread the needle! haha! That in itself is difficult!
Sarah- Thank you so much for your compliment! Do you like to embroider as well?
Trish- Welcome to our blog. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy posting!
Dawn- Thank you so much. :)

I like what I've done of embroidery - I haven't done a whole lot though. I would like to learn more about it. I enjoy cross-stitch, so it seems like other embroidery would be fun too. It would be neat to make a matching embroidered sheet and pillowcase set for my hope chest...
Hey Sarah! I like cross-stitching too! I also like your idea of embroidering pillowcases and sheets to match for your hope chests. Maybe that will be my next project...hmmm....:)
